Little did I know how topical this would be for today.
Today marks a historic moment as the Brexit campaign resulted in 52% making the decision for the UK to leave the EU.
This blog is not a political one but no matter whether you voted REMAIN or LEAVE there is no doubt that today has been one when the media has used words like fear, turmoil, shock, upset, uncertainty, worry again and again.
Maybe these words have been making headlines in your life too, long before today.
They denote an absence of peace.
But when we pursue His presence it opens up the way to the presence of His peace in our lives regardless of circumstances and situations.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27 NIV
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3 NIV
“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:10 NIV
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
We don’t have to find this peace within ourselves. We find it in HIM.
The Lord of peace
My peace I give you
My covenant of peace
Experience God’s peace
“It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” Philippians 4:6-7 MSG
Recover the perfect peace that the Lord of peace has covenanted to you.
Allow the presence of HIS peace to displace fear, turmoil, shock, upset and worry in your life.
Make a big decision to say YES to His peace and NO to fear.
